Curiosity Killed the Sweetheart
We start every day
With a waking breath
Of the same suffocating air
We open our eyes
To the same blank walls
That hold such cluttered thoughts
Intertwine my heart and mind
I dream of the day
I can stare into your curious eyes
You say I love you
But you can't prove it
Love is not just holding hands
Love is not just passionate sex
Love is knowing,
That you can't live one moment
Without that person in your life
Love is sacrifice
What would you sacrifice for me?
These thoughts consume me
And I am no longer afraid
To admit, I like the blood that drips
You looked me in the eyes and said:
"why drip the words you could just say"
But when I speak I feel unheard
