I Don't Understand
I don't understand
Why if we live to die...
We spend our precious money
On classes in a school
To teach us things
We will learn in time
Just walk to path,
Just understand,
They are only enforcing lies
They don't want us to realize
Just how enduring our lives
Can actually be....
Take a look at the bigger picture
Step back for just a moment
This world is so huge
And yet I continue to see
More and more teen pregnacy
Why settle down?
Why work these hourly shifts?
Getting stuck in traffic
Just like everyone else
Doing the same things,
At the exact same time.
And yet, they expect us to be different?
It's nice to have money in your pocket
But wouldn't it be better,
To know you could help an entire nation
With the money that your holding?
Consider yourself selfish
In a world where we have no choice
To decide what is right and what is wrong
They have written the rules
They have set standards
To prevent us,
From ever understanding
Just how truly beautiful this earth can be
But all we do is learn to destroy
"Fighting for a country"
For what reason is it right?...
To kill the things that once gave us life?
For what reason is it right?...
To destroy all we once lived to preserve?
We think our race is "so great"
So strong, and so intellegent.
We are wrong.
We are the only race,
That kills our own kind
Because of our pitty needs
The earth gave us a right to live
What do we do?
We destroy,
Oh yes we destroy.
I dare you, to understand
To look again,
I dare you, to step back
From the fairytales
That our "government" enforces
I don't understand
Why we spend our precious money
On fast food,
When so many people
Die from starvation every day
Why we spend our precious money
On cosmetics...
To over up the fact
That we feel ugly
Because that is simply;
What our nation has become
Consider yourself selfish
In a world where we have no choice
To decide what is right and what is wrong
They have written the rules
All we care about is getting what we want,
Plants can feel, but they have no mouth to speak
Plants have no eyes to see, but...
That doesn't mean they don't cry tears
When we cut them down to preserve
OUR selfish pitty ways of life.
I don't understand
Why I'm told to make a life for myself
When I'm glued to the ground
Crying tears you find profound
Perhaps, if you step away
You might see with unclouded eyes
We are only being used
As the fuel for their plans...
Why we as a race are nothing but mules
To be overworked, to be blinded
From the truth they keep
They don't care
Weather we live or die
Weather we surrender or deny
They will torture us
Until we give in to secrecy.
